Panchayat raj minister KT Rama Rao on Friday announced a toll free number to lodge complaints of corruption and irregularities in the pension scheme. Rama Rao wrote a letter to the MPTCs, ZPTCs, Special officers, Municipal Commissioners and CEOs of Zilla Parishads detailing them about the significance of the scheme.
Any corruption in the implementation of the scheme can be passed on to the toll free number 18002001001 or the information can be mailed to aasarapensions@gmail.com.
Stating that the government was extending pensions to 28 lakh beneficiaries for which it is incurring ` 4,000 crore expenditure per annum, Rama Rao said that identification of more beneficiaries is still on run.
