Maulana Azad National University has become a hub of violations and irregularities. Incharge Vice Chancellor Khaja M Shahed during his visit to Delhi has appointed an incharge who is in no way suitable for the post. Incharge Vice Chancellor is said to have gone to New Delhi to lobby for making his post permanent. He wants to rule the university by way of supporting his predecessor so as to accomplish latter’s mission.
It must be noted that the ex-Vice chancellor and present incharge Vice chancellor belong to same state and both were confidante. Incharge vice chancellor before leaving for Delhi had made a professor incharge, who was sent to forced leave in connection with embezzlement of Rs. 85 in connection with publication of syllabus books. He joined the duty soon after the tenure of ex-VC ended.
When contacted, university’s new PRO Aftab Aalam Baig expressed lack of knowledge over the issue. The media coordinator who was appointed by the ex-Vice Chancellor has restrained all the officials from talking to media. Meanwhile 10 cr Wi-Fi scam also came to fore during the tenure of ex-VC. To save university people involved in the scam, university filed a case against the company of Noida.
Several professors, teachers and workers have told Siasat that there should be CBI enquiry into all important decision taken in university during the past 5 years so that a well organised gang could be unveiled.
