IREF children meet Cyberabad Police Chief

The educational trip of IREF (Islamic Research & Educational Foundation) began with a meeting with Cyberabad Police Commissioner on Thursday at the Cyberabad Commissionerate.

Some 30 children (both boys and girls) interacted with Cyberabad Police Commissioner Ch.D. Tirumala Rao, IPS along with all the five Zonal DCPs. The children asked the Police Commissioner about how the police tackles terrorism, detects bank robberies, nab murderers, criminals etc. The DCP, Malkajgiri V. Siva Kumar, IPS, offered all the children of the IREF – Kids’ Camp 2013 a gift of free entry in the IPL match at the Uppal Grounds on the May 8.

ISLAMIC KIDS’S CAMP ON MAY 5

The Islamic Kids’s Camp of the IREF is being held up to 5 May. The children are taught to know the fundamentals of Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism, Jainism, Christianity etc., other than Islam so that the children grow up as tolerant Muslims and progressive Indian citizens. They are taught the glorious history of Islam and general knowledge too.
On an educational trip in one of the days, the children are taken out to visit the Birla Mandir, Methodist Church, Central Gurudwara and Public Garden Mosque to give them a first hand exposure to the different beliefs according to which god is worshipped. Also the children are taken out to meet the Cyberabad Police Commissioner. They are taken to a Newspaper office to show them how newspapers are published daily.

As per Government orders issued in G.O.Ms.No.470 MA & UD dt.9.07.2008, no hoardings, bill boards, unipoles and related advertisement structures, telecom towers, transformers, machinery and dish antenna etc., are permitted in the buffer zone of 15 km from the outer edge of the service road of the ORR.

The above orders are issued by Government to ensure that there is no distraction for the drivers on the ORR and safety standards for the commuters on the ORR are maintained.
Anyone found violating the above are punishable as per rules. Hence, owners of the hoardings / bill boards/ unipoles etc are advised to remove any hoarding put up within 15 M of the service road immediately. (NSS)
