Telugu Desam Party office in Nalgonda was ransacked and destroyed by irate workers of the party on Wednesday.
According to the information, followers of party leader Kancharla Bhoopal Reddy allegedly went on rampage and destroyed the TDP district party office in protest against party supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu’s decision to allot the Nalgonda seat to the BJP without consulting party workers who had made sacrifices for strengthening the party.
The irate TDP workers removed party flag from the party office building and destroyed chairs, furniture and glass frames. They said they were not able to digest the fact that Chandrababu Naidu surrendering Nalgonda seat to the BJP under seat sharing arrangement with scant respect to the feelings of the party cadre. They bemoaned that even as the party was not in power since a decade, they spared no efforts to protect the existence of the party and cadre in the district.
The “distressed” TDP workers also questioned party supremo’s decision in giving the seat to the BJP when that party’s leaders cannot get a single vote other than that of their family members. (NSS)
