Tehran, March 01: A top Iranian military commander says the ground forces of Iran’s Army are at the peak of their strength and capable of powerfully thwarting any potential invaders.
“The Ground Forces, equipped with modern and domestically-built equipment, are at the zenith of power and capable of simultaneously confronting the enemy in multiple fronts in case of any potential invasion,” Commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Pourdastan told IRNA on Monday.
He said that the Iranian Army’s Ground Forces are deployed at all borders points of the country and ready to face any possible attacks.
Pourdastan added that the Iranian Army has managed to improve its flexibility by aligning the military forces in a way that would enable them to be shifted in the fastest possible way.
He said that Iranian Army has developed a new comprehensive strategy in accordance with changes in the global security situation following the September 2001 incidents.
He added that the new military tactics were incorporated into the strategic plan that was approved by Leader of the Islamic Revolution and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei.
