#Iranianpeople trends on Twitter after Joe Biden’s ‘Freudian slip’

Twitter has been in splits after US President Joe Biden’s slip of tongue moment during his address to the nation in his first State of the Union (SOTU) speech, on Wednesday.

While expressing solidarity with Ukraine amidst a raging war with Russia.

In what some call a Freudian slip, Biden says “Iranian” instead of “Ukrainian” which was immediately caught by the eagle-eyed Twitterratis and did not go unnoticed by those seated in the hall during the speech.

“Putin may circle Kyiv with tanks but will never gain the hearts and souls of the–Iranian people,” he said.

‘Iranian people’ trended on Twitter as users created a laughing riot creating memes over the president’s slip.

On February 24 Russia launched an all-out attack on Ukraine through sea, road, and air. As Russian troops bombarded Ukraine, thousands of people fled to neighboring countries like Poland.

The war raised strong reactions from Western and other European countries who decided to level various sanctions on Russia.
