A polling booth was set up for the presidential elections at the Iranian consulate located at Hyderabad. Out of 1300 voters 327 Iranian citizens and students residing in Hyderabad exercised their vote. Polling time scheduled from 8 am to 6 pm. However due to chalo assembly protest voting time was extended by 2 hours.
Mr. Husain Baloki acted as election officer. Consul general Iran for Hyderabad Agha Hasan Noorian monitored the polling. Mr. Ali Akber Neerumand made the arrangements. It must be noted that polling centres were also set up at Bangalore and Mysore.
