Iran sends second monkey into space

Iran has successfully sent a second live monkey into space and it has been brought back safely.

State news agency IRNA reported that President Hassan Rouhani used Twitter to congratulate Iranian scientists and experts on successfully sending a second living creature into space.

According to stuff.co.nz, Iran had launched its first monkey to space in January.

The latest demonstration of the country’s missile capabilities is likely to cause concern in the West and among some Gulf states.

Rouhani said the monkey was named Fargam and had been returned to earth ‘safe an sound’. (ANI)
