Iran sees U.S., Israeli role in bombing

Tehran, January 12: Iran’s Foreign Ministry said there were signs of Israeli and U.S. involvement in the killing of a university nuclear scientist in Tehran on Tuesday, state broadcaster IRIB said.

“In the initial investigation, signs of the triangle of wickedness by the Zionist regime, America and their hired agents, are visible in the terrorist act,” it quoted the office of the Foreign Ministry’s spokesman as saying.

“Such terrorist acts and the apparent elimination of the country’s nuclear scientists will definitely not obstruct scientific and technlogical processes,” it added.

Tehran’s chief prosecutor Abbas Jafari Dolatabadi also pointed the finger of blame at Israel and the United States.

“In view of the fact that martyr Massoud Ali-Mohammadi was a physicist and nuclear scientist, most probably the Mossad and CIA intelligence services were involved in his assassination,” IRIB quoted him as saying.
