The Andhra Pradesh IPS Officers’ Association has taken a serious note of derogatory remarks of Telangana Rashtra Samiti MLA T. Harish Rao aimed at a senior police officer DCP Stephen Ravindra on August 21 at Vidyuth Soudha, Khairatabad.
Association president Chalapathi Rao has demanded that TRS MLA Harish Rao unconditionally apologize in this incident. He also demanded that Harish Rao be arrested for insulting the police officials. They complained that the attitude of political leaders towards police officials was becoming harsh.
They also criticized Labour Minister Danam Nagendar for misbehaving with a police officer at the Sri Narasimha Swamy Temple at Banjara Hills recently. They said that insecurity feeling has increased in the police personnel due to the rude behavior of politicians towards the police, who were proving protection to leaders and people.
