IPS officer mentored UPSC aspirants in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh M Bhagwat in Telangana had guided over 80 candidates who cleared Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination this year.

According to Telangana Today, the senior IPS officer had mentored more than 300 candidates for the personality test which is a part of UPSC exam and 84 of them got qualified.

“There are more than 50 successful candidates from Maharashtra including three in the top 100, besides candidates from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu whom I assisted in preparation for the personality test,” Bhagwat said.

“A total of 84 candidates I mentored have passed the exam…I am happy, what more a mentor wants,” he said.

Bhagwat, along with some other IAS and IPS officers had started WhatsApp groups for candidates from Maharashtra, AP, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, through which they provided guidance.

“Muzammil Khan (ranked 22), Rizwanbasha Shaik (48) and P Anvesh Reddy (80) are among the top candidates from Telangana and Andhra Pradesh while from Maharashtra three candidates made it to top 100, including Vishvanjali Gaikwad (11), Swapnil Patil (55) and Prajit Nair (87),” Bhagwat said.
