NEW DELHI: Afghanistan spin sensation Rashid Khan was once a big winner at Indian Premier League (IPL) auction.
At Saturday’s Player Auction in Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kings XI Punjab raise the stakes for the 19-year-old leg-spinner .
When Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) beat Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and the price when up to Rs 9 crore, the Sunrisers Hyderabad, who was waiting patiently promptly pull out the Right to Match (RTM) card and get back the highly rated youngster leaving KXIP stunned!

Rashid was purchased for Rs. 4 crore last year repaid the faith by delivering 17 wickets in 14 matches during the last IPL season.
“I play cricket to bring victories for my country and to make Afghanistan proud on the world stage,” Khan told AFP in an interview in October.
Eight franchises will battle to find the right squad composition as a big pool of 578 cricketers, including 360 Indians, will go under the hammer in the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction here on Saturday and Sunday.
The eight IPL franchise have been allowed to spend a maximum of Rs 80 crore on their squad salaries.
