Inzamam Slams PCB For Disbanding

Karachi, July 09: Inzamam-ul-Haq has slammed Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for disbanding the national senior and junior selection committees into a single governing body terming it as a laughing stock in the world cricket.

Inzamam admitted that the whole matter of selection committee issue has made them a laughing stock in world cricket, as it does not make sense to dissolve the selection committee just after Pakistan won the ICC T20 World Cup.

He further added that the PCB could not have accepted the resignation of the former chief selector Abdul Qadir and they could have restored him at his post.

Qadir had resigned as a chief selector last month saying that he has not been free to work as PCB Chairman and the team management interferes in the selection procedure.

Inzamam has played 115 Tests matches for Pakistan in which he scored 8615 at an average of 50 while he scored 11591 runs in the 342 ODI matches he played at an impressive average of 40.
