Hyderabad, March 24: The Atlanta-based, global asset management company, Invesco Limited on Wednesday opened its Hyderabad office with a head count of about 600 employees. President and CEO, Martin L. Flanagan said he was bullish about its growth in India as the investment climate was just right for Invesco to expand in the Asian region.
Inaugurated by K. Ratnaprabha, Principal Secretary, IT, Andhra Pradesh here, it would handle 18 functions while managing over US $ 641 billion for retail, institutional and high net worth clients in over 100 countries. Invesco had offices in 20 locations across the globe, he said, adding that after the company’s centres in Houston and Toronto, the Hyderabad facility was the biggest.
The facility here, across the one lakh square feet of space was essentially an enterprise support centre to complement the company’s global operations, said Mr. Flanagan. It would enable them to operate more efficiently and deliver quality service to clients and was part of an overall strategy to expand Invesco’s operating model. Among the functions that the centre would perform were investment operations, transfer agency administration and servicing, IT, global procurement and finance services.
