Hyderabad, December 24: Referring to the lull in the Telangana movement TRS leader K T Rama Rao has said that the present lull was just an interval and not the end of the Telangana movement.
He has addressed a gathering of protesters at Indira Park on the occasion of the ‘Telangana Betrayal Day’ at the Indira Park in the city on Friday. Telangana Betrayal Day was observed all over the region, protesting against the UPA government backing out from its announcement of the starting of Telangana process.
KTR has demanded that the central government should resolve the Telangana issue immediately so that Telangana would not be an issue in the 2014 elections. Stating that only embers have covered the fire of Telangana, he said the fire would never douse. Stating that people of both the regions were put to unnecessary losses, he said the central government should take a decision at least now.
Stating that there were four accused in the Telangana case, he said the first accused were the state and central governments as they had gone back on their promise of Telangana. The political parties who promised Telangana and went back were the second accused, Seemandhra capitalists were the third and the spineless public representatives were the fourth, KTR added He has demanded an early solution to the problem.
