Internet users asked to cautions against malicious mails

The Information Security experts have advised the internet users to beware from emails related to Job Offers, Prize Money winning offers.

Don’t respond to mail related to your bank account details. Always keep only one session active at a time while doing online transactions. These views were expressed by Cyber Expert & Secretary, Computer Society of India, Hyderabad Chapter, K Rambabu at Maulana Azad National Urdu University while addressing a one day workshop on “Information Security Education Awareness (ISEA)” organized by MANUU’s Department of Computer Science & Information Technology in collaboration with CDAC and CSI.

In the presentation, Rambabu delivered some tips and tricks to prevent from malicious attacks on the Internet. He said all the passwords should be permanently deleted after performing online shopping activities with debit or credit cards. The authenticity of incoming mails should be verified through proper online tools like email filtering etc.
