International powers seek to dominate nations

Tehran, February 06:Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) Speaker says international powers seek to strengthen their hegemony and influence over other nations through creating false fears.

In a meeting with Polish Ambassador to Tehran Juliusz J. Gojlo on Saturday, Ali Larijani described the presence of foreign powers in any country as problematic for that nation’s independence.

“International powers try to strengthen and reinforce their hegemony and influence in [other] countries through creating false fears in different parts of the world,” Fars News Agency quoted Larijani as saying.

The Iranian lawmaker described the expansion of relations between Iran and Poland in different fields as satisfactory and stressed the necessity of using all opportunities and capacities to increase bilateral ties.

Larijani also announced Majlis readiness to support the all-out expansion of cooperation between the two countries.

Gojlo for his part reiterated his country’s interest in expanding ties with Iran and said, “Despite having different views toward [different] issues, there are vast grounds for cooperation and interaction between the two countries.”
