ABC (Always Be Cheerful) Laughing Club is organising a number of programmes on August 8 and 9, in connection with the visit of Dr Madan Kataria, President, International Laughter Yoga, to the city.
Club Chairperson Mrs Shirin Panjwani, speaking to the media at NSS here today, informed that Dr madam kataria, Physician and former Registrar at the Jaslok Hospital, Bombay, has started a revolution of joy and laughter ny founding the Laughter Club of India and developing the new technique called Laughter Yoga. According to Dr Kataria, laughter has a positive impact on various systems of the body and it halps to remove the negative effects of Stress, which is the number one killer today. More than 70 per cent of illnesses like B P, heart disease, anxiety, depression, frequent breakdown of health, peptic ulcers, insomnia, allergies, asthma, tension headaches, stomach upsets and even cancer are related in some way to stress. Laughter he4lps to boost the immune system, which is the master key for maintaining good health.
Mrs Panjwani said that an event at Public Gardens, Nampally from 6 to 8.30 am, seminar and interaction with students of Sujatha School, Abids, Public Session at Safilguda from 12.30 pm and a laughter session at Devnar School for Blind, Begumpet at 4.30 pm are the programmes on August 8. The next day programmes include public session and seminar at Dr G S Malkote Park, Vittalwadi from 6 am, Training programmes (Teachers) at Agrasen Bhavan, Babu Khan Estate, Basheerbagh from 9.30 am to 5 pm.
