An international racket which is robbing the people by making them believe that they have won lotteries and prizes is active in the city which is cheating people in the name of mobile and drink companies. Police and government are helpless to hunt the racketeers as the racket is active from abroad and its links are likely to be connected with some important cities of the country.
They send fraud messages to cell phones informing the users that their mobile phone number has won a huge amount. They extract thousands and sometimes lakhs of rupees as registration fee. They even acquire information such as usernames, passwords and credit card details from the gullible people and thus chisel money out of them.
