Hyderabad, October 23: Actress-director Nandita Das led Children’s Film Society, India and the Central and State governments are jointly organizing ‘The Golden Elephant – 16’, an International Children’s Film Festival of India, at Prasad’s IMAX and top theatres in Hyderabad from November 14 to 20.
Over 60 films, including 6 UNESCO-certified films, will be competing this year for The Golden Elephant awards in the categories like Children’s World, Asian Panorama and International Competition.
Chief Minister K. Rosaiah will attend the opening ceremony of the festival as the chief guest. Many foreign delegates from various countries are expected to attend the festival. Tollywood is planning a luxurious Nawabi dinner for them on November 15 at Taramati Baradari near Gandipet Lake.
