Although Yashwanthi, aged 18, a student of Sal Chaitanya Junior College, Medchal, made an effort to convince her parents to let her continue her education, but they were pigheaded that she get married.
Down in the dumps with the fact that her parents did not give importance to her wishes, Yashwanthi set herself on fire at her house in 1.13 Nagar Colony in Medchal.
