Intermediate Classes from June 4

Intermediate first and second year classes will begin from June 4, according to Board of Intermediate Education.
In a press release here today, Board Commissioner Rama Shankar Naik stated that admissions for the same will be in two phases. While applications for first year will begin on May 26 and end on 30, schedule for second phase of admissions will be communicated at a later date. He warned that they will take stringent action against those colleges which violate the norms of admissions by conducting any sort of entrance tests. Keeping in view the grading system in SSC, the colleges of government, aided, private and others should make provisional admissions followed by Internet results which will be confirmed later on. The principals should follow the rule of reservations for admissions for category wise percentage is as follows: SCs 15, STs 6, BC 29, PH 3, NCC, Sports, Extra Curricular activities 5, ex service men and defense personal residing in state 3 and 33 or 1/3rd of total seats be reserved for girls category wise where there are no separate colleges for them. The colleges should not issue ads for admissions besides displaying sections available and not to include those combinations which were dropped.(NSS)
