Interim injunction emboldens TRS rebels

Hyderabad, June 27: The interim injunction of the First Senior Civil Judge of City Civil Court suspending the expulsion of seven TRS rebel leaders from the party has come as a shot in the arm for the dissidents in increasing the heat on party supremo K Chandrasekhara Rao. The TRS expelled H A Rahiman, D Ravindra Naik, A Chandrasekhar, N S r i n iva s Re d dy, J Balakrishna Reddy, B Somu Reddy and Reddy Umadevi from the party recently for their anti-party activities.

With the rebel leaders approaching the court, the Senior City Civil Judge in his interim orders suspended the expulsion on seven leaders and asked the party leadership to file a counter.

Anticipating trouble with the Chandrasekhara Rao’s loyalists bent on hindering the rebels from entering the Telangana Bhavan, the police authorities posted a large force at the place to prevent any untoward incidents.

But the rebels did not storm into Telangana Bhavan much to the relief of the police officers. The rebels said they were not keen on gaining control over Telangana Bhavan but only wanted that they should be involved in Telangana movement.

Former Minister A Chandrasekhar, former MP Ravindra Naik and other rebels told reporters the court order made it clear that they could walk into Telangana Bhavan.

Even Chandrasekhara Rao had said that Telangana Bhavan belonged to people of Telangana, recalled another dissident leader KK Mahender Reddy.

They appealed to Chandrasekhara Rao to mend his ways and not impose family rule on the party. In the wake of court orders, Rao should include all the rebels in the movement and work for the T-movement.

They hoped that Rao would invite them again into the party as Rao already said that he had no enmity with any rebel leader. “If Rao does not include us in the movement again, we will go to Telangana Bhavan and see that Rao rectifies his mistakes,” the rebels said.

They also demanded that Rao should lift expulsion against the rebels and carry forward the T-movement for democratic, social and welfare Telangana State.

But, the rebels wanted the TRS chief to answer all the questions raised by them and explain to people why the party had failed in the elections.
