Alumni of Osmania University are arranging an Urdu Mushira today at 5 p.m. at Press Club Bashir Bagh. The collection of Urdu Poems “Maddo Jazar” written by Mr. Siddique Kausar will be released in this function. Urdu poets from A.P., Karnataka and Maharashtra will participate in the Mushaira. Mr. Abid Rasool Khan, Chairman of Minorities Commission will preside over the function. Prof. S.A. Shukoor, Director of Urdu Academy, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali, TRS MLC, Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan, Managing Editor of Siasat Urdu Daily, Mr. Syed Shah Noorul Haqe Quadri, former Chairman of Urdu Academy, Mr. Shujaath Ali, Deputy Director of the Doordarshan, Mr. Khaleeq ur Rahman, Senior Congress leader and Dr. Zubair Ahmed will be the guests of honour. Mr. Raoof Khair will review the poems of Mr. Siddque Kausar.
After the book releasing function, Mushaira will be held. Mr. Saadullah Khan is the convener of Mushaira.
