Inter-state dacoit gang nabbed

Hyderabad, April 5: Cyberabad police succeeded in nabbing an inter-state gang belonging to Haryana which was involved in the robbery incident occurred at a jewellery shop at Medchal last month.

Addressing a press conference Mr Dwarka Tirumala Rao Commissioner Cyberabad police said ‘the accused involved in robbing Hanuman jewellery shop at Medchal on March 14 have been arrested and 2 firearms, 10 rounds of ammunition, three knives and a motorcycle were recovered from them.’

He said ‘Mohammed Arif alias Arif Khan of Nawab Saheb Kunta formed a gang along with, Mohd Shabuddin alias Moulvisaab (47), Mohd Farooq (35), Mohd Arif (23), all from Haryana and Mohammad Waheed Khan alias Laalu from Rajasthan.’

Commissioner police said, ‘Arif Khan and others stole a Bolero jeep from Toli Chowki and tried to rob a jewellery store at Abids but the security personnel forced them to flee. They disposed off their stolen car after this.

Likewise on March 14 Arif Khan along with Mushtaq stole another Bolero car and kept it in Narsapur of Medak district. On March 14 they gathered at Dondegal area as per plan and tried to rob Hanuman Jewellery shop at Medchal road but faced stiff resistance from the owners. They even fired at the shop owner.

Police produced the accused before the court and shifted them to jail.
