Hyderabad: Muqtar was in love with Vani and they wanted to marry with mutual consent. A few days back they disappeared. After a few days Vani came back and confessed that she is in love with Muqtar and she wants to marry him. Despite her confession, the Sub-Inspector of Police in RR District registered a case against Muqtar under Nirbhaya Act and started harassing his family. Vexed with this harassment, Muqtar mother Raheema Bi committed suicide in front of police station last year.
Taking note of it, the Chairman of Minorities Commission, Mr. Abid Rasool Khan instructed the Superintendent of Police, RR District to provide police protection to Muqtar and hear his plea.
