Inter instant pass percentage increases: Ranjeev Acharya

Pass percentage of instant examinations of Intermediate Public (Advanced Supplementary) Examinations for 1st and 2nd year held in May, 2018 was increased this time. While the first year results rose from 62.73 to 72.32 per cent this year, the second year results show a rise from 67.06 to 78.65 per cent.

The results were announced by Ranjeev Acharya, special chief secretary education at Intermediate Board here on Friday. The memos of marks can be available on June 16 and related differences can be rectified before July 8. Ranjeev Acharya stated that the first year intermediate in vocational courses the pass percentage was also increased from 58.55 per cent to 70.82 per cent and in from 69.56 per cent to 79.8 per cent in second year. She said that out of 4,15,366 general candidates 2,60,558 passed in first year and in the Advance Supplementary 300412 out of 39,854 appeared. And in second year out of 3,95,721 appeared 2,65,360 passed and also in 45,912 out of 3,11,272 passed in advance supplementary. Also in the first year Vocational courses, 23,666 candidates out of 40,423 appeared and in Advanced Supplementary 4,963 candidates passed against 28,629 and in 2nd year 23412 passed out of 33,657 appeared. Also in 3,446 passed out of 26,858 appeared for advanced supplementary.

She said that Medchal district stood first with 79 per cent results in Advance Supplementary of 1st year, and Medak is the last with the lowest percentage of 41 per cent. In second year Adilabad district stood top with 75 per cent and the lowest is Mancherial, Jagtial and Sircilla with 32 per cent she said. Similarly, in first year Vocational courses Adilabad got number one with 80 per cent and the lowest is Peddapalli and Karimnagar with 44 per cent each. In 2nd year Komram Bheem (Asifabad) district with 78 per cent and Wanaparthy is lowest with 41 per cent she said.

For recounting and supply of scanned copy-cum-verification, the candidates have to pay online an amount of Rs 100 per paper for recounting and Rs 600 per paper for scanned copy on website: tsbie.cgg.gov.in. Marks memos will be dispatched to the concerned junior colleges by June 16. The candidates can rectify any inconsistencies in the marks memos have to refer to the Board through Principals concerned before July 8. (NSS)
