The results of first year Intermediate Public Examination – 2012 will be announced on Friday.
Secondary Education Minister K Prathasarathy will announce the results at 10 am on Friday at the office of Board of Intermediate Education at Nampally. The results of intermediate second year examination are likely to be announced early next week.
The intermediate public examinations for the academic year 2011-12 were held from March 2 to March 19.
Over 19.50 lakh students appeared for the intermediate examination this year. The board had set up 2,488 examination centres across the State.
While 8,50,610 candidates including 3,98,754 girls appeared for the first year exam, 7,56,407 wrote the second year examinations. Besides, 1,89,066 candidates including 65,930 girls appeared as private candidates for the second year exam. (INN)
