The four lakh government employees in Telangana, which also includes police in civil dress, will visit each and every household in the state to take up an ‘Intensive Household Survey’ on August 19.
A public holiday was declared on August 19 by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to enable smooth conduct of the survey, which will gather the particulars of each and every family member in nearly 84 lakh households in the T-state.
Rs 2 crore was sanctioned to each district for the survey by the CM. Government staff will paste the Telangana official logo on each house after completion of the survey.
All government and private organisations have been asked to remain closed on August 19 and private organisations have been warned of strict action if they function on the day and force their workforce to attend duties.
