Hyderabad: Bar Council of AP introduced Group Mediclaim and Personal Accident Policies for registered advocates so that advocates could get help. This scheme is in vogue for the past two years.
This year United India Insurance Company has come forward to offer Mediclaim policy for advocates and the members of their families for the Rs. One Lakh and Rs. Two Lakh.
These policies have to be opted in single slot. The last date of submission of proposal forms is 10th August. The premium for advocates is Rs. 2750 and for his family members (1+3) is Rs. 4750 for a policy of Rs. One Lakh whereas for a policy of Rs. 2 Lakh, the premiums are Rs. 3250 for advocate and Rs. 5350 for 1+3 members and Rs. 8050 for covering 1+5 members.
In the same manner, the insurance company is providing Group Personal Accident Policy only for advocate for a premium of Rs. 150.
