Kamareddy (Nizamabad), January 20: A woman has killed her one-and-a-half-year-old child and ended her life as she could not bear the insult of being suspected for theft in this town on Thursday.
According to police, Bharati, 26, was eking livelihood by ironing clothes. Some 20 days ago, some of the clothes she brought from customers were stolen. She was suspected by the customers who lodged a complaint with the police resulting in interrogation by the police. Besides, her in-laws too started insulting her as she was called by the police as a suspect in a theft case.
Unable to bear the insult, she fed pesticide to her child and consumed it herself. Both died.
