A leading French newspaper Le Monde refused to run PM Narendra Modi’s interview after it was told to publish his written answers without interacting with him.
Le Monde’s South Asia correspondent Julien Bouissou tweeted, “Le Monde refused to run an interview of Narendra Modi after we were told to publish written answers, not to interact with him.”
After the refusal, the Prime Minister’s Office has negotiated an email interview with another French newspaper Le Figaro, Le Monde’s rival that is owned by Socpresse who reportedly publishing Modi’s email interview.
The Prime Minister during his four-day visit to France met with President Francois Hollande and top French business leaders with an aim of bringing French investment and technologies to India particularly in nuclear, defence and infrastructure sectors.
