Hyderabad, March 09: City police suspended the Task Force south zone inspector A Srinivas Rao for ‘indiscipline’ while three inspectors attached with the traffic wing were issued charge memos for dereliction of duties.
The Task Force inspector reportedly misbehaved with his superior, additional deputy commissioner of police (Task Force) M Srinivasulu during a recent meeting. The additional DCP reportedly pulled up the inspector for failing to control activities of history-sheeters in Old City.
Srinivas Rao reportedly told his superior officer that his sub-inspectors were not cooperating with him. Srinivasulu held a meeting with the SIs when the inspector picked up an argument and asked the additional DCP not to talk to the SIs without his permission and in anger threw a book at him. Srinivasulu took up the matter with police commissioner AK Khan who suspended Srinivas.
Meanwhile, additional commissioner of police (traffic) C V Anand issued charge memos to the traffic inspectors of Charminar, Mir Chowk and Sultan Bazar after noticing haphazard parking on the roads and frequent traffic jams in the area.
