Kota (Rajasthan): An inspector posted at labour department in Kota district of Rajasthan has been arrested by the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) for allegedly demanding and accepting bribe from a man.
Ramesh Chandra Meena was arrested while he was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 600 from Goberilal Meena, a proprietor of security agency, Arun Macchya, Additional Superintendent of Police, Kota ACB said.
The labour inspector had initially demanded Rs 1,000 as bribe for making amendment in the name of security agency under Shop Act but it was later settled at Rs 600, the ASP said.
The proprietor then complained to the ACB and following the verification of his complaint, the labour inspector was arrested while he was accepting the bribe, the ASP said, adding that the bribe was also recovered.
