INSAF Demands Probe Into Appointment Of Wakf Board CEO

INSAF State Council, Minority wing of CPI, has severely criticized the style of functioning of the Andhra Pradesh Wakf Board.

In a pressnote here on Friday, INSAF leaders Syed Aliuddin Ahmed, Syed Ameer Mohd Amjad and Syed Hameed Uddin Ahmed Mahmood stated that a person, who is not even a graduate, has been appointed CEO of the Wakf Board though many highly educated Muslims were available for the key. Questioning wisdom of Wakf Board members, chairman, especially Minority Welfare department for selecting a non-graduate for the post, the INSAF leaders said the Wakf Board was facing a lot of problems due to the incompetent Chief Executive Officer.

They demanded that the government order an inquiry by the CBI into the appointment of a non-qualified person as the CEO of the Wakf Board. They lamented that the Board employees were not working properly due to the incompetent CEO and prime lands of the Board were not safe. (NSS)
