On Thursday five inmates escaped from the State Rehabilitation Centre located at Yousufguda.Among them two age between 20 and 28 been recently rescued from flesh trade. Mamtha, 25, and Sushmita, 20 were the other women who runaway along with four year-old son of Mamtha.
According Sudarshan Reddy, a sub-inspector at the Sanjeev Reddy Nagar police station, on thursday morning at around 4 am before broking the iron lattice on the wall, the women bolted the doors of all the rooms from outside on the first floor and entered the corridor on the first floor. They took the help of a bedsheet to reach the ground floor and flee from the Centre by jumping over the wall on the rear side.
It was easy for the women to escape as security guardswere on the front side. When the other inmates found their doors bolted from the outside they raised an alarm at around 5 am. And came to know that the women had escaped.
Police hae registered a case under two Sections based on a complaint lodged by Girija, In-charge at the Centre and the women set free from flesh trade by the Gopalpuram police have been booked for escaping from court custody.A missing case has been filed in the case of the others.
