‘Injustice has always been done with Bihar’: Nitish

Patna, October 20: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today alleged that injustice had always been done with the state and said talk of making India “a developed nation” would be an exercise in futility unless problems of “backward states like Bihar” received due attention.

“Bihar has always been victim of injustice and talk of making India a developed nation will be an exercise in futility unless special care and due attention is paid to backward states like (Bihar),” Kumar said while addressing a conference on ‘Bihar 2020’ organised by the Hindustan publication group, its media partners, news channel IBN-7, here.

“Sinister attempts had been made in the past to throw the state far behind on development front,” he said, adding the “possibilities of expansion of industries in Bihar suffered a jolt after the Centre’s decision on freight equalisation policy.
