Sydney, August 26: Brad Haddin will miss the one-dayers against England as the injured Australian wicket-keeper will undergo a corrective surgery on his finger tomorrow.
Haddin, who sustained the injury on the ring finger of his left hand ahead of the fourth Ashes Test at Headingley, was reviewed by a surgeon today and was suggested to undergo a surgery tomorrow.
”Brad Haddin was reviewed today by a hand surgeon in Sydney. It’s been decided that the fracture of the ring finger of the left hand, sustained in the Test series in England, will be best dealt with by Brad having surgery,” Cricket Australia’s (CA) doctor Trefor James said in a statement here today.
”Brad will undergo corrective surgery here tomorrow. He will therefore not be available for the limited over internationals in England,” he said.
A veteran of 53 ODIs, Haddin, who has been included in the Champions Trophy and ODI series against India, is still to be reviewed for the upcoming tournaments.
