New Delhi: In an encounter at Rohini sector 9, a twenty-four-year-old burglar was shot by two policemen. Following which, he was taken to Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini, where Constable Ashok and assistant sub-inspector Ramashray Singh donated blood to him in order to save his life on Wednesday morning.
Nitin was with his associate Salman when they first shot at the two policemen. Constable Ashok shot 9 rounds of bullets in self-defense, where five of them hit Nitin. Constable Ashok and other inspectors donated few units of blood to him, required while his surgery took place. Despite the blood donation, due to his deep injuries, died on Thursday afternoon.
According to the report of HT, Deputy commissioner of police (Rohini) Rishi Pal said no fresh case would be filed in this connection against the policemen as they fired in retaliation of the burglars.
“The accused fired first. The policemen retaliated in self-defense. We registered a case against the accused, but none will be registered against the policemen,” he added.
