Job Description:
Implement the Information Security Policy and Standards across the organization
Develop and institute standards, policies, procedures, guidelines
Understand the business requirements, evaluate potential products / solutions and provide technical recommendations
Be hands on with technology and to contribute to the design, development and support of projects with the security recommendations
Review software applications for potential security vulnerabilities by conducting application security reviews i.e. Requirements review, Design review, Code Review and Penetration testing (Ethical Hacking), Vendor Risk Assessment.
Liaison with Developers, Architects, Project Managers and Vendors to understand the working of an application, how effectively they are implemented and where security mechanisms are employed.
Keep abreast with latest security and privacy regulations, advisories and alerts.
Report daily, weekly and monthly as per project requirements.
Participate in 24×7 Information Security Response team
Supports the Security Operations Center (SOC) on complex initiatives by collaborating in use case development, developing response processes and procedures, and performs continuous process improvements, which may include documentation, mentoring, and/or training sessions.

Education-
UG: B.Tech/B.E. – Any Specialization
PG:M.Tech, MCA, M.Sc – Computers
Doctorate:Any Doctorate – Any Specialization, Doctorate Not Required
Engineering / MCA degree
4+ years of relevant experience
Experience in analyzing, researching Windows / Unix Security Logs as well as logs form IDS/IPS, DLP tools, Next Generation Firewalls, Anti-Virus/Malware, Vulnerability Assessment solutions
Exposure/familiarity with Cisco security devices VPN,ASA, Mars, IPS, WCS and ACS.
Experience in threat /incident detection through accurate interpretation of log entries and real world user scenarios causing log entries
Ability to adapt to changing priorities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure
Security Certifications like Ethical Hacking, GSEC, SSCP, CISSP would be an advantage
Should have ability to operationally manage any of these products (with appropriate training / familiarization where required).
Knowledge on Scripting Skills like PERL, PYTHON, and BASH would be an advantage.
