Chief Executive Officer Waqf Board Mohammed Asadullah has declared that the information, that documents pertaining to Waqf included among more than 11000 documents of Revenue Department that are lost, as baseless. He told that reports were published in newspapers that documents of 11000 properties were missing from the Revenue records. It was quite likely that most of the missing documents might pertain to Waqf properties.
Chief Executive Officer has clarified that all the records of Waqf properties are totally safe in Waqf Board and status of Waqf properties could not be changed with the loss of revenue records. He assured that the original records regarding Waqf properties were with the Board and government was trying to synchronize the Waqf and revenue record so that Waqf properties in the revenue record could be identified. With this move no illegal occupant can make registration through forged documents.
