Minority Commission Chairman Mr. Abid Rasool Khan told that, since the formation of the commission, he has received several requests from various departments particularly from State Waqf Board, Education Department, Unani Hospital etc. which highlighted injustices meted out towards minorities. He revealed this at awards distribution ceremony held at Meridian Function Hall Malakpet by Idara-e-Al-Ilm Islamic Library which presented Abdul Jabbar Cash Grant Award to SSC and inter students and teachers.
Corporator Amjadullah Khan Khalid moderated the function, while Mr. Zaheeruddin Ali Khan managing editor Siasat and Dr. Nizam Ali Khan (USA) attended as chief guests.
Mr. Abid Rasool Khan informed that Minority Commission will soon set up information centres in all districts of the state to facilitate minorities.
