A six-month old infant was lifted from his sleeping mother’s lap in the premises of Sufi saint Khwaja Muinuddin Chisti’s dargah here around midnight last night. A pilgrim Mohammad Hazi was sleeping in the dargah premises alongwith his wife and infant son Nasir when an unidentified woman approached them and stolen the child while the family was in deep sleep, police said. The child’s mother noticed the kidnapping around 0130 Hrs when she woke up and not found Nasir by her side. The child lifting has been recorded in the CCTV installed in the dargah premises and massive search has been launched on the basis of clues gathered from CCTV footage, a police spokesman said. UNI
