Warangal, April 13: A two-month-old baby was rescued from her parents when the latter put her up for sale at the Hanamkonda bus stand this evening. The police suspect that the girl’s parents who were in inebriated condition were selling the baby to meet their financial requirements.
According to Hanamkonda police, the two-month-old kid was kept for sale by her parents Komuraiah and Lakshmi on a platform at Warangal bus stand. Shocked over this, commuters at the bus stand alerted the police who in turn came and rescued the infant.
The police said that both the parents were in inebriated condition. Later, the police found out the baby’s father sold his baby boy at Mancherial about four years ago. The rescued kid and her mother were sent to Swadhaar Rescue Home in Warangal, while the girl’s father is in the police custody.
