Ahmedabad, February 14: An infant today died of swine flu taking the toll due to the deadly virus to 270 in the state, which reported nine fresh cases, Health officials said.
The 10-month-old girl died at Sola civil hospital here.
According to the officials, fresh cases were reported from Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vadodara and Bhavnagar.
In Gujarat, swine flu has claimed 270 lives while 1,409 people have tested positive for the virus so far.
Out of 270, nine persons were from Rajasthan while one was from Madhya Pradesh, they said, adding they were here for treatment.
