Dr G Tulasi Ram Das, Vice Chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, (JNTUK) today faulted the stance of the corporate managements for their reluctance in imparting necessary training to the young graduates that is essential for making them employable. Participating as the chief guest at the workshop on ‘E- Learning Assessment Solutions (e-las)’, conducted by the Directorate of Industry Institute Interaction, Placements and Training of the JNTUK at the university campus here, he said the corporate personnel were only interested in getting a ready made product rather than imparting necessary training. He said though the technical education module was modified to suit the industrial needs, the industry was not prepared to train the students. The E- learning process would enable the students to have the much needed exposure to the research developments, communication skills, aptitude and technical skills that are required for making the students employable.
The main studio of E-learning assessment solutions will be installed at the JNTUK while the sub studio in affiliated colleges. The university was also preparing a template to act as a guide through which JNTUK portal helps the students to have the critical analysis of the lessons’ he added.
Dr N Apparao, Director Industry Institution, Interaction, Placements and Training, who presided over, said the workshop was being organised in association with Globarena technologies private limited, Hyderabad.
Around fifty training placement officers of East and West Zones attended the workshop. Among those addressed the workshop include Dr E V Prasad Registrar , Dr K Padmaraju principal university college of engineering and Dr GVR Prasada Raju Director Academic planning. UNI
