New Delhi: Industrial output growth stood at 1.7 percent in January due to a slowdown in the manufacturing sector, data released by the Central government showed on Tuesday.
The factory output as measured in terms of Index of Industrial Production (IIP) grew by 7.5 percent in January 2018.
During April to January 2018-19, industrial output grew at 4.4 percent as compared to 4.1 percent in the same period of previous fiscal, according to an official statement released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
