Law Minister A Indirakaran Reddy on Friday assured that the State Government would take all measures for the welfare of lawyers’ community in Telangana State.
Speaking after releasing the Telangana Lawyers’ Dairy 2015 at the State Secretariat here, the minister said that the lawyers have played a major role in the formation of Telangana State. Therefore, he said that the State Government has announced several sops for the lawyers’ welfare in its budget for the years 2014-2015. They include Rs 100 crore for their welfare. He said many other welfare measures like housing would be announced by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao after holding a detailed review meeting with the officials concerned.
Indirakaram said that the Telangana lawyers were facing difficulties due to non-bifurcation of High Court. He said that the Chief Minister would soon take a decision in this regard. (INN)
