Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav today said that a model Indoor Stadium will be constructed at Sanathnagar wit modern facilities.
He inspected the works of the stadium being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 5 cr. Expressing satisfaction over the pace of the works he directed the GHMC officials to complete the works by September this year. The minister said that the stadium will be a model one with better facilities in places gym, health club, yoga center. Srinivas Yadav also inspected a place for construction of a function hall.
The function hall will be constructed by spending Rs 3 cr for providing amenities to the local people. He asked the officials to prepare proposals for the multi-purpose function hall on the lines of model function hall at Gandhi Nagar. The Government is releasing adequate funds for completing the pending works he said. With support and cooperation of IT and Municipal Minister KT Rama Rao the works related to civic amenities and projects are being completed on a war-footing he claimed. Priority being offered to works of drinking water lanes, roads and pucca drainage system in place, he added.
The minister also said that Rs 21 cr will be spent for providing drinking water and drainage and ration shop and other facilities at Allauddin Koti, Dasaram basthi. Immediate measures will be taken against traffic problems by changing design of Fathe Nagar bridge, he said. (NSS
