SRINAGAR: The deaths took place in a gunfight and subsequent clashes in Valleys‘s Pulwama district, in one of the bloodiest days in the Valley’s recent history.
Abid Hussain Lone, one of the civilians shot dead in a gunfight site in Pulwama, was an MBA graduate. He returned to his hometown along with his Indonesian wife and a three-month-old baby Zaina. In 2016, Abid proposed Saima, an Indonesian and they got married.
On Saturday, Abid left home in Karimabad village to fetch milk for his daughter and detergent for washing but was hit by a bullet. He was rushed to a district hospital Pulwama for treatment of gunshot injuries but was declared brought dead.

33-year-old Saima still in a state of shock asked for justice for her innocent husband, who was got killed by the army.
“I’m asking government justice for my husband, why he got killed? I don’t want to live here…I will leave Kashmir. He was the only one I knew in Kashmir…I don’t anyone here.”
The blood-soaked Saturday in Kashmir in which 11 persons, including Abid, Army soldier and three militants, were killed and over three dozen civilian protesters sustained injuries in clashes with the security forces.
